Hugh McIntosh

Hugh McIntosh serves currently as the Head of School at the Episcopal School of Baton Rouge, a PreK-3 through 12, independent, college preparatory school serving over 930 students in the Greater Baton Rouge area.  Many graduates of the Episcopal School of Baton Rouge attended, or have attended, LSU and the Ogden Honors College.  Hugh sees his service on the Ogden Honors College Advisory Council as one of the many strong strands that connect Episcopal to LSU.

Prior to beginning a second career in independent school leadership in 2001, for 25 years Hugh was a partner in Vinson & Elkins, LLP, a large international law firm known for its representation of clients in the energy industry, among other business sectors.  Prior to law school, Hugh served as a Naval Officer for three years during the war in Vietnam. Just before coming to Baton Rouge in 2010, Hugh was the Head of School at the Keystone School in San Antonio, Texas for seven years.

Hugh holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Mississippi State University, a Juris Doctorate from the University of Virginia, and a Master of Divinity from Harvard University’s Divinity School.
