Norman A. Deumite is the owner and President of Master Maintenance and Construction, Inc. Mr. Deumite graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He received a commission as a Second Lieutenant through the ROTC and served in the United States Army.
Norman worked for the Louisiana Department of Highways, Dupont Construction Company, Borden Chemical Company and BASF Wyandotte before founding Master Maintenance and Construction in 1961.
He has served on several Boards in the Baton Rouge area including; Boys Hope of Baton Rouge. Red Cross of Baton Rouge, Mary Bird Perkins Endowment, Catholic High School, Our Lady of the Lake Endowment, Tiger Athletic Foundation, Cadets of the Ole War Skule, University College Advisory, Swine Palace Theater Advisory, LSU Construction Management Advisory and Knock, Knock Children’s Museum Advisory Boards. Norman is a member of the LSU Alumni Association Hall of Distinction and the LSU Athletic Department Hall of Distinction.
Norman is married to the former Mary Kathryn (Kay) Hardin and is the father of four children: Steven Deumite (deceased), Scott Deumite, Staci Duhe and Sloan Deumite.
