Undergraduate Research Colloquium

Presentations of Honors Thesis Projects

Held each April, at the end of the spring semester, the Honors Thesis Colloquium gives Ogden Honors students the opportunity to present their Honors Thesis research in a conference format, disseminate the knowledge presented in their theses, and foster interdisciplinary dialogue between faculty and students.

Students completing their Honors theses are first invited to prepare abstracts in a call for presentations sent out in March. Participants may prepare presentation materials such as handouts and PowerPoint presentations, a may use other novel presentation tools upon request.

If you have not yet begun your Honors Thesis research, the Colloquium is an excellent opportunity to learn more about the types and formats of Honors Thesis projects, and how the overall these research process works. Students attending Colloquium will have the opportunity to interact with Ogden Honors students who are just completing the Honor Thesis process, and to meet faculty members who have guided Honors students in their research and writing.
