Whether you're starting your first semester or your fourth at LSU, or even if you're transferring from another college or university, high-achieving students are encouraged to apply for admission to the Honors College. The application process starts with applying to the university. After you have been admitted to LSU, you can then be considered for Honors College admission.
Also, you will begin to receive information regarding on-campus housing, scholarships and other financial aid, and orientation programs. Students who receive admission to the Honors College are eligible to live in the Honors House, located in East and West Laville Halls. Many Honors students may qualify for entering freshmen scholarships awarded by the university's Office of Undergraduate Admission and Student Aid. You may also be invited to Spring Invitational where you will be able to learn about campus life and have the first choice for freshman fall courses.
