Create an HNRS Course Proposal

To submit a proposal to teach an HNRS course for the LSU Honors College, please complete all fields in the Course Proposal form below. Upon submission, the proposal will be in queue for review by the Honors Board. The Board reviews course proposals during semester meetings, after which the faculty member will be provided feedback concerning the proposal. Courses must be approved at the beginning of a semester in order to be offered the following semester.

HNRS Courses with General Education credit must meet the appropriate objectives for those General Education Areas covered by the course; proposals are expected to sufficiently explain how this is to be accomplished. Course Proposals are also expected to include compelling rationale for the course as an Honors-level experience. For a complete description of the requirements a course must meet to be an HNRS course offering, please thoroughly consult the Course Guidelines established by the Board of the LSU Honors College. All proposals will be reviwed in light of these guidelines. All faculty making course proposals are encouraged to become familiar with those guidelines.
