Four Honors College Students Named to 2012 Tiger Twelve

The Office of the Dean of Students recently announced the Tiger Twelve Class of 2012, a distinguished group of graduates who contribute positively to the life of the campus and surrounding community,

Honors College students Haley Y. Bove, Amanda Briggs, Stewart Humble, and Hanna Munoz were among the graduating seniors selected for this prestigious honor.

Each year, twelve students are chosen based on how well they have demonstrated the seven basic principles outlined in LSU's “Commitment to Community,” a statement of position regarding LSU’s basic principles as an academic community established in 1995.

In order to be selected for this award, students must hold themselves to the "highest standards of academic, personal and social integrity"; must "practice justice, equality and compassion in human relations"; and must "respect the dignity of all persons and accept individual differences."

Recipients are nominated by the university community and are current, full-time students with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5. A committee selected the final twelve.
