More than 400 Honors College students and their family members celebrated their return to LSU by attending this year's Honors College Family Picnic.

After a long morning spent moving their belongings into the residence halls, students had the chance to gather on the back patio of the French House for hamburgers, hotdogs, and conversation.

The picnic was just one part of Bengal Bound 2010, LSU's official welcome week for new and returning students. The LSU Honors College and Les Amis sponsored the event.

Les Amis des Etudiants is the parent organization specifically serving the students of the LSU Honors College. As a four-year residential program, Honors parents have a unique opportunity to impact and share in their student's college experience. By supporting Honors College student programs, Les Amis helps to create the full Honors experience.

Barbara Schultz, Honors College mom, said,"I had such a good time at parent orientation and at the Honors picnic. My son is loving it at LSU."
