Madison Hasenkampf learns the ins and outs of the Chevron Environmental Management and Real Estate Company

Third-year student, Madison Hasenkampf, is spending her summer in San Ramon, California, at the Chevron Environmental Management and Real Estate Company.

At the Company, she worked as the downstream environmental management intern.

Madison Hasenkampf“Through the completion of two intern projects, I have learned how Chevron operates across different business units and how remediation projects are followed from start to finish,” Madison said.

In addition to learning about the environmental engineering (which is her major) side of things at the Chevron Environmental Management and Real Estate Company, Madison also learned about work culture and the role it plays at the company.

“I am a leadership team member in two employee networks at Chevron which emphasize the positive work culture,” Madison said. “We plan and create events to foster community between interns and full-time employees.”

Overall, she said she has enjoyed the experience and is thankful for the opportunity.

“It was difficult to leave Louisiana for the past few months but I’m glad to have this experience,” she said.
