This course provides an in-depth study of three subject areas within finance; namely, asset management, investment banking and financial markets, as well as learning about career opportunities in the field of finance. Asset management entails managing a portfolio of stocks, analyzing securities, diversifying across various asset classes including hedge funds, measuring the performance of portfolios as well as hedging risks using options and futures. Investment banking is about raising capital for corporations through the issuance of equities and bonds, taking private companies public (IPO) and creating value for corporations through mergers and acquisitions.
