Our next program of chamber music in the First Tuesdays at French House series will feature two 20th-century works: a trio (flute, violin, and piano) by the French composer Jacques Ibert, as well as a string quartet by that modern giant of the quartet literature, Bela Bartok--his first in the genre.

Ibert, “Deux Interludes”

Alvaro Pereiro, violin
Christiana Compton, flute
Mary Katherine Schober, piano

Bartok, String Quartet No.1, in A Minor, Op. 7

Rafael Galvan Herrera and Alejandro Larumbe, violins
Laurie Rominger, viola
Alvaro Angulo, cello

All are invited to attend a performance as part of our lunchtime concert partnership with the LSU School of Music students and faculty held on the first Tuesday of each month of the semester.
