Did you know that the US Department of State offers a wide variety of summer internships applicable to almost every major offered by LSU? A DOS internship can provide you valuable work experience whether or not you plan to work in the public sector. If you want to know more about internships, opportunities in international affairs or diplomacy careers, or the US Department of State's Foreign Service, you should definitely plan to attend this event!

Current Diplomat-in-Residence Kali Jones, a New Orleans native, will lead this information session about careers with the DOS, and share her personal experience as a diplomat in a variety of countries around the globe.  She will discuss requirements for numerous positions, short-and long-term benefits, application procedures, and the challenges and rewards of this type of work.  If you like learning about people and different cultures, and want to know more about traveling and living abroad, bring your curiosity, your questions, and your friends to find out more!

Light refreshments provided.
