Honors Convocation

Tuesday, September 10 at 7:30 PM in the LSU Union Theatre

To launch the academic year, Jose Antonio Vargas, author of Dear America, Notes of an Undocumented Citizen, will address the Ogden Honors College Class of 2023. You are expected to purchase and read Dear America, Notes of an Undocumented Citizen before you arrive in August.

Pulitzer-Prize winning journalist Vargas, called “the most famous undocumented immigrant in America,” tackles one of the defining issues of our time in this explosive and deeply personal call to arms on immigration.  The book is intended to spark the type of vibrant conversations that are fundamental to the Honors experience at LSU.

If you plan to participate in  Sorority Recruitment or Tiger Band, and/or if you are in a Residential College (e.g., Business, Engineering, Mass Communication, etc.), please be sure to check the appropriate selections on the Honors Welcome registration page.
