Henry Escalante Legacy Scholarship

Awarded directly by the Ogden Honors College to incoming students, the Henry Escalante Award is a merit-based award. The award is made possible through the generosity of Carmelita Escalante and Consuelo Madere, honoring their father and his strong belief in the importance of higher education.

Award

$4000 over four years of academic study as $1000 per year, dependent upon fund availability.

Award Requirements

Applicants must be first-generation college students, majoring in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or health sciences fields. Financial need may also be a consideration. To retain the award from year to year, continued Good Standing in the Ogden Honors College is required.
