Honors Advising
The Honors College assists students in planning to set and meet goals within the Honors College, in the major programs, and in life for their future careers. In a larger sense, we seek to provide students with the guidance and understanding that helps them to ascertain the purpose and direction of their education.
All Honors College students should meet with an Honors College adviser for at least one advising session per year to remain in Good Standing according to the following schedule (although students may see an adviser additionally at any time):
Fall (at any time of the semester) – First and Fourth (or Fifth) year students
Spring (at any time of the semester) – Second and Third year students
An advising session is constituted as a discussion of future plans in relation to Honors, to major degree programs, and to available resources.
In-Person advising:
Appointments to meet with the Honors College staff can be made by sending an appointment request form at least 48 hours in advance of the desired date and time of appointment. You will receive an e-mail confirmation with your appointment time and adviser.
All students must bring a degree audit to appointments; one can be obtained from the PAWS account.
If you have any questions about advising, call the Honors College office at 578-8831 or at honors@lsu.edu.
