Orientation Overview

LSU's Office of Orientation has designed various orientation programs to introduce new LSU students to the university and its many services .  These programs include:

• Spring Invitational
• Freshman Orientation, Advising, and Pre-registration (Spring, Summer, and Fall)
• Transfer Student Orientation

At each, you will have the opportunity to take advanced standing exams to earn college credit in various subjects, meet with an academic advisor to plan your first semester, evaluate your advanced placement credits, and create your first semester class schedule.  Honors College advisers and other staff are on hand to help you learn more about the Honors College and select Honors classes appropriate for your major.

In addition, Honors Welcome brings you into the Honors community during the week prior to the beginning of the fall semester.  At Honors Welcome, current Honors students serve as "Welcome Leaders" as they show you what it's like to be an LSU Honors student.
